PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how the Muster app for Android ("Muster", "the app") handles information. Muster is made by Final Stint Digital ("we", "us"), Adelaide, South Australia.
Information you enter
You can record information about your pets and the people who care for them, including:
- pet details such as names, photos, breed, date of birth, microchip, council registration and insurance details;
- health records such as weights, medications, ailments, diet, vaccinations, treatments and vet visits, and any photos or PDF documents you attach;
- contact details for vets and pet sitters;
- your own name and phone number, and a backup contact, if you add them for the sitter sheet;
- notes and reminder settings.
All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else by the app. We cannot see it, and we don't need it.
What Muster does not do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking.
- No advertising.
- No selling or sharing of your information.
- No access to your location or your contacts.
Permissions
Notifications. Muster asks for permission to show notifications so it can remind you when a medication, vaccination or other item is due. Reminders are worked out on your device. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or in Android settings at any time.
Photos, camera and files. When you add a photo or PDF, Muster uses Android's own photo picker, file picker or camera app. Muster only receives the item you choose, and copies it into its private storage. It does not have general access to your photos or files.
Sharing that you choose
Some features let you send information out of the app, always at your request:
- Sitter sheet. Muster creates a PDF of the pets you select. If you share it, it goes to the app and people you choose. Private notes are never included, and insurance details are only included if you tick that option.
- Attachments. Opening a PDF hands it to your PDF viewer.
- Calling, texting, emailing and directions. These open your phone's own apps with the details filled in.
Backups
Backup files you make. Settings > Backup saves a single file containing all of your Muster records, photos, documents and settings, in the place you choose (for example Google Drive or your Downloads folder). The file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere you trust. We never receive it.
Android's automatic backup. If backup is turned on for your Google account in Android settings, Android may include Muster's data in your device backup, which Google stores in your Google account. This is handled by Android and Google under Google's privacy policy, not by us, and we cannot access it. You can turn device backup off in Android settings.
Tips through Google Play
If you choose to leave a tip, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. Google provides us with standard purchase records (such as the order number, date, country and amount) for accounting. Google's handling of your payment is covered by Google's privacy policy.
If you email us
If you contact us, we receive what you send, including your email address. The app's Send a message button adds the Muster version, Android version and phone model to help with any problem you report; you can remove these before sending. We use your message only to reply to you and to improve Muster, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
Links to other websites
Muster links to the Google Play listing and to the donation pages of animal charities. If you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies. Donations are made directly with the charity; we don't receive or see any donation information.
Deleting your information
You can delete any record, pet, vet or pet sitter within the app. Uninstalling Muster deletes everything it stores on your device. Backup files you saved yourself, and any Android device backup, are kept until you delete them. To ask us to delete an email you sent us, write to the address below.
Children
Muster is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If Muster changes in a way that affects your privacy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
